What we are:
We are a non-profit multi-level care facility, and retirement complex affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and founded to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ by providing, without discrimination, ” a place to live” in a Christian home-like environment for the ill, disabled, elderly and retired.
Who we are:
We are a caring and competent staff, administration, board and corporation, who are willing and able to recognize and respond to the resident’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. The staff are the instruments of caring, essential to providing the highest quality care and service , and to make the Home truly “a place to live.”
What we hope to accomplish for residents:
The Strawberry Point Lutheran Home Community prioritizes optimizing each resident’s feeling of self-worth and personal dignity by respecting their individual rights, especially the right to self-determination and freedom of choice. It is our chief goal to achieve for each resident a high level of physical, mental, and emotional health.
We will increase the participation of the resident’s family and friends in the caring process by providing encouragement and opportunities for family members to support their loved ones at Strawberry Point Lutheran Home.
The Strawberry Point Lutheran Home Community will provide an atmosphere, which encourages residents to feel at home.
What we hope to accomplish for our staff:
We help each employee to feel the importance of their contribution to the overall mission, which is the well-being of the residents.
We provide a positive work atmosphere, which encourages quality care giving and service.
We foster a healthy self-image and high self-esteem by encouraging each employee to achieve their own potential for personal growth and fulfillment.
We provide every employee an opportunity to recognize more clearly their ability to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in word and deed.
What we hope to accomplish in the community:
We provide enlightenment and perspective about the ill, the disabled, the elderly, and the retired.
We provide guidance to the community in noting the wisdom, contributions, difficulties, needs and wants of the special group of people whom we serve.
We provide to the community a model of Christian love and care giving.
We provide a home for those community members in need of our services.
