The Strawberry Point Lutheran Home Community is having a super start to 2017!  We have been working on
implementing fresh new ideas and improving the current ones.  Resident Centered Care is in full swing and we are excited to for the full implementation of this policy.  So what this means is, when living here, you have total say in how you live here. It has been a WIN-WIN for everyone.  Residents are happier knowing that they have choices, the
community is becoming more aware that if they or their loved one has to be admitted-they have choices, and the staff is rewarded at the end of their day knowing that they have made a difference. The most challenging concept for residents and staff is having less routine tasks. Here is one example, Table side dining, the residents can order from a menu at meal time.  To make all this happen,  SPLHC has dedicated leadership team and an excellent support staff that are committed and working together to give the residents more personal choices.  Every day I am blessed to have the
privilege to work with staff with amazing talents. A BIG shout of Thanks goes to Donna Haynes and Kelly Mesplay for their hard work and expertise.  It is with pleasure to introduce the newest team leaders.  Nicole Borrett- Director of
Nursing, Tracey Romig- Life Events Supervisor and Tiffany Sherwood- Culinary Manager, we welcome you and look forward to working with you to make a difference in those who live and serve here.

In closing I leave you with this thought, Change is always good.  It is our choice to decide how we accept it and how we deal with it. Have a wonderful spring and see you at the
Annual meeting on Sunday, March 19th at 1:30 pm.  ☺
